Full Time Yard/Delivery

Supervises: None

Purpose:

Operate vehicles to transport equipment and responsible for maintenance and appearance of the dealership lot. Assist the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.

Responsibilities:

Transport equipment between locations and also deliver to customers
Meet the needs and expectations of transfer requests of equipment
Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtain necessary signatures and receipts
Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy
Record maintenance on all service vehicles and schedule service when needed
All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
Exhibit positive and forward thinking skills
Possess strong people skills and the ability to work in a team environment
General understanding of mechanical/technical terms
Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
Basic parts and machinery knowledge
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Ability to lift 60 – 70 pounds frequently
Ability to lift 75 – 100 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, twist and reach on a frequent basis
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required, CDL license required
Candidate must become forklift certified within 30 days of employment
