SEMA Equipment Supports Youth Through FFA

As Minnesota FFA welcomed thousands of young people into membership this fall, SEMA Equipment helped area youth through the Blue Jackets Bright Futures program. This program provides jackets to FFA members who are starting their FFA career. Members of the Fillmore Central, Lake City, Lanesboro, LeRoy Ostrander, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Randolph, Red Wing, Rushford-Peterson, Spring Valley-Wykoff and St. Charles FFA chapters received jackets sponsored by SEMA Equipment.

“FFA has a long and proud history of linking our youth to agriculture. SEMA is very happy to support the FFA and it’s programs. We believe the organization will continue to play a major role in developing future agricultural leaders and many who are linked to the land,” stated Tom Wozney, Operations Manager for SEMA Equipment, Inc. SEMA Equipment is a John Deere Dealership with locations in Austin, Caledonia, LeRoy, Northfield, Plainview, Spring Valley, St. Charles, and Wanamingo.

“The jacket is a symbol of tradition and pride for those who have worn the official FFA jacket. Many past members have sponsored jackets, but it’s not uncommon for individuals and companies to sponsor jackets because they appreciate what the organization does to develop young leaders,” said Val Aarsvold, Minnesota FFA Foundation Executive Director.
